Information CERT Collects
Information that can be used to identify an individual, such as your name or email address, is known as “Personal Information.” We may collect Personal Information when you email us or use our Website’s services, like when you request information through the “Contact Us” function or when you take action by searching for your Senators or sending a message to your Senators. We only collect your Personal Information if you provide it to us voluntarily.
If you sign up for our email alerts, each message will include instructions on how to “unsubscribe” from that list. We give you the opportunity to elect not to receive future materials from us.

CERT does not currently take actions to respond to Do Not Track signals sent by your web browser because a uniform technological standard has not yet been developed. We continue to review new technologies and may adopt a standard once one is created. While we may track the sites you visited before and after our Website for our internal business purposes, we do not authorize other third parties (e.g., advertisers) to do so, but it is nonetheless possible that third parties may do so for their own purposes with respect to which we may have no knowledge or control.

For example, we may use third parties to: deliver products, mail information, maintain databases, host services and administer our Website. The Website and the content on it are not directed to children under the age of 13. CERT does not knowingly solicit or collect Personal Information from children under 13. Please do not submit any Personal Information to us if you are under the age of 13. Upon request, we will delete any information about a child under the age of 13 we have inadvertently collected.

California residents have the right, under Section 1798.83 of the California Civil Code, to request certain information about the types of personal information a business with which the resident has an established business relationship shares with third parties for direct marketing purposes and the identities of third parties the business has shared your personal information with in the past year.
