ConsumerGram: Time to Revisit Trucking Regulations

The American Consumer Institute Center for Citizen Research’s ConsumerGram  reviewed several reports that examined improving efficiency through lengthening less than truckload (LTL) twin trailers by five feet. In its reviews, ConsumerGram found that increasing the length of these trailers would significantly lower transportation costs, improve road safety and reduce fuel costs and greenhouse gas emissions.
